Print-A-Poster is a P-R Posters™ Company

The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the word Pioneer (pi·o·neer) as:
“A person or group that originates or helps open up a new line of thought or activity”

Barron Holtons’ Pioneers Of Flight defines it as:
“… Someone who sees potential, an innovator who is willing to try new things.” is a Pioneer of Free Printable Posters.

Way back in the 1990’s they began offering their printable posters for free – to print or download. Anybody could have them. As many as they like.

Many years ago, when the Internet was still in its infancy, a new concept was born. Printable posters available from the World Wide Web. That was way back in the day before most people had computers, tablets, or smartphones. Can you imagine? And, even fewer people had a personal printer.

Websites like Facebook, Instagram, Tumbler, and Pinterest were nowhere to be found. Those were the days before the commercialization of the Internet. Back then it was all about the sharing of information and resources. The “good guys” were those individuals who had a mission to share whatever they could with as many people as possible. It was a long time ago.

… more than 20 years ago

But, Print-A-Poster (a P-R Posters™ company) has been around for more than 20 years – from way back in the early years of the World Wide Web. In that time they created over 600 unique poster designs. Some are motivational to encourage success. Other educational designs help spark the creative learning process. And, their workplace designs focused on building teamwork. There are even some just for fun designs that really tickle the funny bone and bring a smile. Print-A-Poster has always provided their complete collection as free printable posters.

Officially, it was in November 1999 that a small homeschool family business started P-R Posters. Committed to sharing motivational poster designs with anyone who had access to the web. This family was truly a

Pioneer of Free Printable Posters.

Their practice of sharing homemade motivational designs actually started for the Peltier-Robson family in 1994. Back then it was only a few dozen basic designs.

The very first design was made as an answer to the question – “Dad, what is the Most Important Thing?” Here is an image of that first design: Click Here to View our first Free Printable Poster - The 10 Most Important Things

The website started out to be a homeschool lesson in creating a website online, and providing something of value to share. The Peltier-Robson family chose to create unique motivational designs as their “product”. To accomplish that lesson they also needed to learn about customer service, marketing, and all the other aspects of creating the website. They also needed to learn how to create and “package” their artwork as well.

Those were the days when website owners needed to learn to do it all. Website design, link building, copywriting, submitting the website to search engines, email, and shopping carts. It was nonstop fun… and a constant learning curve. But, those good old days really were the good old days for them. Their business was built on a dream… grown on action… and enjoyed by thousands of people all around the world.

Previously, most people considered a poster to be something large that was hung on the wall. A statement, or belief. A beautiful photo or a compelling question. Typically it would be the standard “Attitude” type design with the black background, the large title, the compelling quote, and the beautiful photograph. Those were well known and loved by the masses.

Print-A-Poster struck out on their own creative path.

Print-A-Poster struck out on their own creative path. Their designs were different and refreshing. Because they were different, their designs also became popular. Back then they referred to their printable posters as “mini-posters”. A term they coined after a great deal of thought and discussion. But, printable posters were limited to standard letter size printouts from early inkjet printers – mostly found in schools and businesses. A novel new way to share these mini motivators. An innovation of distribution.

Now, of course, there are hundreds of websites offering their brand of Free Printable Posters. That’s wonderful, and an inevitable result of the success of Print-A-Poster. The world is full of creative people, and it’s nice to see the spirit of sharing is still deeply rooted in so many people providing freebies online. Today there are literally more free designs available than any one person could put on all of their walls. But, that’s a win/win for us all. Variety is ever so yummy!

Print-A-Poster is proud to be a

Pioneer of Free Printable Posters

The journey has been an exciting adventure for the Peltier-Robson family. It has taken them in directions they had never imagined. Because so few people had access to personal printers, Print-A-Poster began offering printed versions of their designs. In the beginning, they offered 4 size posters that they printed on their color inkjet printer and laminated for protection. They even offered a small business card size they called pocket posters.

Since 2005 they offered larger wall sizes of their designs, all the way up to two foot by three foot. So, like the rest of the Internet, they became more commercial and their poster store became a go-to choice for motivational designs. But they never gave up providing all of their poster designs as free printable posters. sincerely hopes you enjoy the complete collection of free printable poster designs. Print them, download them, share them with your friends.
