Behold, I stand at the door…
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Whosoever will come after me…
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Charity suffereth long…
Charity suffereth long, and is kind, charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in inquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
If any man be in Christ…
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The eye of a needle…
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
